Jesse Gray is an multi-disciplinary artist recently relocated to Nanaimo from Vancouver, BC. Her work deals with the ways that culture and the sciences intersect, and is based in salvaging, hand-craft, and labour-intensive practices.
Jesse holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of British Columbia (2009), a BFA in Visual Art from Simon Fraser University (2002), and studied jewellery art & design at Vancouver Community College (2012). She has taught in the Electronic Media Design & Communication Arts departments at Langara College, and at various art galleries and institutions. She also makes jewellery under the name Gray Metal.
